Mrs. Lillie Plummer, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009. She worked for 28 years at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Detroit, Mich., and was a member of Little Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice Thornton and Aubrey Hodges; two daughters, Linda and Linda Ruth; and one brother, Willie Thornton.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Gary Plummer; a daughter, Phyllis; four sons, John, Timothy, Vernon and Michael; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Queenie, Gwendolyn and Geneva; a brother, Walter; an adopted brother, Robert; two daughters-in-law, Yvette and Mary; two sons-in-law, Gary Jr., Darryl Jeffery and Rufus, Jr.; 10 step-grandchildren; ten sisters-in-law; five brothers-in-law; one very special uncle, Gleaford Gray II; and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. at Little Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Gray officiating. Burial followed at First Marietta Baptist Church with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
