Mr. Cecil Ray “Big Daddy” Hammac, 56, of Roby Street in East Brewton died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 after a brief illness. He was a native of Plainview, Texas and a life-long resident of East Brewton. He was a member of the East Brewton Nazarene Church, coached East Brewton Little League and was a carpenter.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Portwood Hammac of East Brewton; one son, Chris (Caffey) Hammac of East Brewton; one daughter, Nikki Hammac Fore of East Brewton; one brother, Wayne (Cindy) Hammac of East Brewton; one sister, Vanessa Hammac (Vern) Ingrham of East Brewton; seven grandchildren; and two special friends, Sonya Nelson and Barbara Smith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral home with the Rev. James Meadows and speaker Deb Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
