T.R. Miller varsity and B-team fall

In varsity boys action Tuesday night in Brewton, Andalusia used a 14-0 run to open the game and a 12-0 run later in the quarter to hold a 28-4 first quarter lead in the game.
That win dropped T.R. Miller to 0-2 on the season with a 67-25 win over the Tigers.
After the 14-0 run by the visiting Bulldogs to start the game, T.R. Miller got on the board at the 4:51 mark when Keenan Pride scored to cut the lead to 14-2.
From there, the Bulldogs had a 12-0 run to take a 26-2 lead with 1:23 before Anthony Herbert scored T.R. Miller’s final points of the first quarter.
Andalusia held a 28-4 lead after the first quarter of play.
In the second quarter, both teams would alternate points throughout the quarter. Andalusia used a 7-0 run to end the quarter with a 40-11 lead after a 12-7 advantage in the quarter.
In the third quarter, Andalusia had an 11-0 run to take 53-13 lead with 2:06 left in the quarter. They outscored T.R. Miller 15-5 to hold a 55-16 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Pride had T.R. Miller’s lone five points in the quarter.
In the fourth, two 5-0 runs for Andalusia helped extend the lead as they outscored T.R. Miller 12-9 to claim the 42-point win.
Pride would lead T.R. Miller with 14 points and Derrick Riley had five.
Herbert and Andrew Terry both had two points each in the loss.
Joe McCorvey and Kori Jackson both chipped in one each.
T.R. Miller will be back in action Monday at home when they take on the Jaguars of Hillcrest High School.
On Friday, the Tigers will begin play in the Escambia County Tournament in Flomaton.
The Tigers will take on Escambia County in their first round game at 7:15 p.m.
Andalusia 42,
T.R. Miller B-team 25
The Andalusia Bulldog B-team outscored T.R. Miller 9-0 in the fourth quarter to get a 45-25 win over the Tigers Tuesday night in Brewton.
The loss dropped T.R. Miller to 0-2 this season.
T.R. Miller trailed 10-6 after the first quarter and after a couple of Bulldog runs of 6-0 came back with an 8-0 run of their own to cut the lead to 24-16 at the half after being outscored 14-10 in the quarter.
In the third quarter, the Bulldogs used another 6-0 run to take a 34-20 lead with 1:32 left to play in the third quarter. That run came after T.R. Miller had cut the lead to 28-20 at the 3:47 mark in the quarter.
With the lead at 11 for Andalusia, the Tigers of Brewton were shutout in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs scored nine points to win by 20 points.
Darrion Salter led the Tigers in the loss with 13 points and Mark Bryant added five points.
Caleb Hubbard had three points with Caleb Dickey and Rickey Curry both adding two points for T.R. Miller in the loss.
T.R. Miller will take on Hillcrest at home on Monday.
