TRM Tiger B-team gets first win

Leading by only one point after the first quarter Friday night in East Brewton, the T.R. Miller Tiger B-team outscored W.S. Neal 33-9 the remainder for the game to pick up their first win of the season 41-16 over the Eagles.
T.R. Miller used a 7-0 run in the second quarter and a 16-0 run to end the game after leading 25-16 with 5:45 left to play in the game to get the 25-point win.
The win improved T.R. Miller to 1-2 while the Eagles of W.S. Neal fell to 3-5.
The Tigers of Brewton led 8-7 after the first quarter and following a 7-3 scoring advantage in the second quarter, held a 15-10 lead at the half.
The Tigers then came out in the third quarter to outscore the Eagles 10-4 in the third quarter to claim a 25-14 lead.
With an 11-point lead after three quarters, T.R. Miller outscored W.S. Neal 16-2 in the final quarter of play to get the 41-16 win.
With the scheduling conflict with Hillcrest on Monday, T.R. Miller will be off until Saturday, Jan. 2, when they take on Choctaw County at home at 1 p.m.
W.S. Neal was set to take on Red Level on the road on Monday and will be off until Tuesday, Jan. 5 when they take on Jackson at home at 4 p.m.
In the game Friday night, eight players scored for T.R. Miller’s B-team in the win.
Darrion Salter led T.R. Miller with 13 points in the win and Mark Bryant had seven.
Caleb Hubbard and Marc Edge both had six points and Kameron Winn had three points.
Caleb Dickey, Randy Davis, and Dayvon Samuel all had two points for the Tigers in the win.
For W.S. Neal in the loss, Dalton Evans tallied six points and Lorenzo Womack had three.
Jalen Harrod, Percy Travis, and Marquese Banks all had two points and Donovan Millican chipped in one.
