Bank of Brewton mini-bank suffered severe damage as a result of the flood this week. Becky Bethea, an officer at the bank, said Wednesday that several feet of water crept into the mini-bank located on St. Nicholas Avenue.
The main offices of Bank of Brewton fared much better, Bethea said.
There was very little water in the building during the 24-hours flood waters filled downtown Brewton, Bethea said.
Bethea encouraged Bank of Brewton customers to use the north Brewton branch on Douglas Avenue or the main offices on Belleville Avenue for banking needs.
