East Brewton residents are beginning to see a glimmer of hope for crossing Murder Creek.
At 9 a.m. this morning, East Brewton officials said a change in the water levels in East Brewton began to change last night.
Although three businesses in East Brewton remain closed today, one businessman is going on with business as usual today.
Joe Lewis, owner/operator for East Brewton Seafood Market, said he planned to be open throughout the day.
No water made it's way into Lewis' business, however the flood stopped traffic in his front door for two days.
No details on other business openings has been made public.
EMA Director David Adams said earlier if predictions by the Weather Forecast Center are on target, U.S. 41/Forrest Avenue could be open to traffice by early Thursday.
