A father and son team have begun their work at the Brewton Municipal Airport as the facility’s fixed based operator.
Freddie McCall Sr., and Freddie McCall Jr., were introduced to the community with a reception held at the facility last week.
The official beginning of work for the duo was Dec. 1 with plans already in the making to adding some interesting aspects available at the airport.
The father and son team own Aviation Specialist, LLC, which they say is an aircraft maintenance and aircraft crash and salvage recovery business.
With over 25 years of experience in the business, they are licensed with the FAA, A&P and IA.
The junior McCall said he has been flying since 1986 and has plenty of flying experience.
Those lessons will be taught an on-staff instructor, McCall said.
McCall Sr., said the facility will maintain a planes for those who want lessons.
The McCall family will be available to pilots and their passengers at the airport on a daily basis, McCall Jr. said.
Offices of Aviation Specialists can be reached by calling 809-6064.
The Brewton Municipal Airport is located on U.S. 29 in the Riverview community.
