T.R. Miller Tigers still winless after tournament play, now 0-6

The T.R. Miller Tiger boys varsity basketball team remained winless for the 2009-2010 basketball season after finishing 0-3 in the Escambia County Tournament.
The Tigers dropped to 0-6 with losses to Escambia County, W.S. Neal, and Flomaton.
T.R. Miller opened the tournament with a 62-33 loss to the Blue Devils on Friday in Flomaton before dropping an 87-44 loss to W.S. Neal on Saturday.
On the final day of the tournament on Monday, the Tigers lost 36-29 to Flomaton.
Escambia County claimed the tournament championship with a 2-1 record and W.S. Neal finished second with a 2-1 record. Flomaton also finished with a 2-1 record while the Tigers fell to 0-3.

A 22-7 advantage for Escambia County in the second quarter and a 10-1 advantage in the fourth quarter led the Blue Devils of Atmore to a 29-point win over T.R. Miller Friday in the opening round of the Escambia County tournament.
Atmore led 15-14 after the first quarter, but used a 7-0 run in the second quarter to lead 37-21 heading into the half.
T.R. Miller cut the lead to 12 in the third quarter but Atmore held a 15-11 advantage in the quarter to lead 52-32 heading in the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, the Tiger offense was held to only one point as Atmore scored 10 to take the win 62-33.
Derrick Riley led the Tigers with nine points and Terez Lane had eight. Joe McCorvey had seven and Antonio Payne had four.
Wes Dickey had three points and Keenan Pride added two in the loss for the Tigers.
Flomaton 35,
In a low scoring varsity boys game to end the tournament, Flomaton knocked off T.R. Miller 35-29 to drop the Tigers to 0-3 in the tournament and to 0-6 overall.
T.R. Miller trailed by 14 points, 32-18, heading into the fourth quarter and got the game to six points with 6.6 seconds left to play at 35-29, but Flomaton was able to hold on for the win.
The Tigers trailed 12-9 after the first quarter and 19-13 at the half following a 7-4 Hurricane advantage.
Flomaton used a 12-0 run over the first two quarters to hold on for the six-point lead at the half.
In the third quarter, Flomaton used a 6-0 run to build a 32-18 lead heading into the fourth.
In the fourth, T.R. Miller outscored Flomaton 11-4 as all the Cane points came on free throws.
Flomaton was 4-for-10 in the quarter.
Pride led the Tigers with 11 points and Riley had seven. Dickey chipped in five points and Lane had four. Payne added two points in the loss.
Wes Dickey made the all tournament team for the Tigers.
