WSN Eagle B-team loses third straight

In a Friday night home game against the B.C. Rain Red Raiders, the W.S. Neal B-team Eagles fell to runs over the first three quarters to suffer a 51-24 loss.
The loss dropped the Eagles to 4-7 overall.
With W.S. Neal leading 10-6 in the first quarter, the Eagles fell to an 11-0 run in a span that ended the first quarter and ended midway in the second quarter to trail 17-10 and then fell to a 16-0 run to end the second quarter and midway through the third quarter to fall behind 37-14 en route to their 27-point loss.
W.S. Neal trailed 11-10 after the first quarter and 23-14 at halftime following a 12-4 scoring advantage for the Red Raiders.
In the third quarter, W.S. Neal was outscored 18-4 to fall behind 41-18 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, the Eagles were outscored 10-6 to lose 51-24.
W.S. Neal was 4-for-10 from the free throw line in the loss and B.C. Rain shot 8-of-11.
Leading the Eagles in scoring were Jaleel Elliott, Donovan Millican, and Jalen Harrod with four points each and Dalton Evan and Percy Travis with three points each.
Josiah Nettles, Marquese Banks, and Jaquan Tucker all had two points each in the loss for the Eagles.
W.S. Neal was set to take on T.R. Miller Tuesday night in Brewton before traveling to UMS-Wright on Friday for a 4 p.m. tip.
W.S. Neal will continue their road schedule Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Jackson at 4 p.m. and at B.C. Rain again on Friday, Jan. 22, at 4:30 p.m.

The B-team Eagles lost their third straight game Tuesday night in Northview 36-28 to fall to 4-8 overall.
W.S. Neal was outscored 9-3 in the first quarter, but responded with a 12-8 advantage in the second quarter to cut the lead to 17-15 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Eagles were outscored 7-4 to fall behind 24-19 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, W.S. Neal was held to nine points while the Chiefs scored 12 to claim the eight-point win.
Millican led with 10 points and JaQuan Tucker had six points.
Womack chipped in four points and Harrod and Evans both had three points. Elliott added two points in the loss for the Eagles.
