Mr. Robert Petro Curry Sr., 58, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010. He was a lifelong resident of Brewton. He was a 1971 graduate of Southern Normal School.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Petro (Nicole) Curry Jr., Quentin Curry and Reginald Curry, all of Brewton; his mother, Fannie Mae Curry; his brothers, Tony (Vermell) Curry of Geronimo, Okla., and Recardio (Pearlie) Curry of Brewton; a sister, Susie (Willie) Weston of Tampa, Fla.; an ex-wife, Barbara Curry of Brewton; seven grandchildren, Arlestion  Parker, Brianna Dees, Jordan DeLawrence, Brian Dees, Aliza Campbell, Destinee and Jadin Curry; an aunt, Dora (Lee Kiser) Mallard of Los Angeles, Calif.; a mother-in-law, Magnolia Lewis of Brewton; a family friend, Krystal Robinson;  and a host of other family and friends.
The funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. at Presley-Fluker Funeral Home chapel in Brewton, with Pastor  Bonom officiating. Burial followed at Piney Grove Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker directing.
