Ms. Degee Darlene White, 38, died suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010. She was a native of Pensacola, Fla., and had been a resident of Flomaton for the past 20 years, coming from Wetumka. She graduated from Flomaton High School in 1989 and later Auburn University. She was a system management specialist for FEMA and attended First Pentecostal Church of Pensacola. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wiley Aaron Cochran, Narvel and Dorothy White; an uncle, Narvel  Spencer White.
She is survived by her parents, Steve and Linda White of Flomaton; a daughter, Kiele Cristin Smith of Brewton;a sister, Stevie (Tim) Ward of Brewton; her grandmother, Sara Cochran of Vaiden, Miss.; and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brian Kinsey officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
