Eagle basketball falls to UMS

In the class 4A area 1 boys basketball tournament in Mobile Friday night at UMS-Wright, the No. 4 seed W.S. Neal ended their season with a 63-45 loss to the No. 1 seed Bulldogs.
The loss for the Eagles of W.S. Neal finished their season with a 14-12 record.
The Eagles trailed 15-5 after the first quarter, but was able to cut the lead to seven points at halftime.
W.S. Neal outscored the Bulldogs by three points, 19-16, in the second quarter.
In the second half, the Eagles were outscored 18-13 in the third quarter to fall behind by 12 points, 49-37, heading into the fourth quarter of play.
In the fourth, W.S. Neal was outscored 14-8 to lose by 18 points.
Bob Elliott and Ashton Elliott both scored 14 points each in the loss to lead the Eagles.
Jeremy Nicholson followed with eight points and Sam Ewing added three points in the loss.
Tra Dixon, Jeremy Alexander, and Rashad Crook all had two points for W.S. Neal against UMS-Wright.
