Baseball tourneys to take place

Two baseball tournaments will be held this week and next week to start the area’s baseball season off.
The W.S. Neal baseball Eagles will host the Eagle Classic Friday and Saturday to start their 2010 season.
Four teams will play in the tournament with W.S. Neal being host and being joined by Atmore, Northview, and Flomaton.
On Friday, the Eagles of East Brewton will open the tournament and their season against Atmore at 4 p.m. and Northview and Flomaton will play at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, W.S. Neal and Northview will start things off early with a 10 a.m. game and Northview and Atmore will follow at 12:30 p.m.
At 3 p.m., Atmore and Flomaton will pair up followed by W.S. Neal and Flomaton in the last game of the tournament at 5:30 p.m.
The T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team will start their season with the 2010 Escambia County baseball tournament that will begin Thursday, Feb. 25 at T.R. Miller’s Tiger field in Brewton.
The tournament will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and will feature county teams T.R. Miller, W.S. Neal, Escambia County, and Flomaton.
Game times are set to begin at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
On Thursday, T.R. Miller and Escambia County will get things started with the 4 p.m. game followed by W.S. Neal and Flomaton.
On Friday, Escambia County and Flomaton will play the early game followed by T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal in the night game at 6:30 p.m.
In the third and final day of the tournament on Saturday, W.S. Neal and Escambia County will tangle at 11 a.m. and T.R. Miller and Flomaton will close out the tournament at 1:30 p.m.
