WSN baseball to play Friday

W.S. Neal High School’s Eagle baseball team will take to the diamond Friday, Feb. 19, for their 2010 season opener.
The Eagles, under the leadership of head coach Coy Campbell, will play in their own Eagle Classic to start the season.
The Eagles will begin play at 4 p.m. on Friday against Atmore and at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday against Northview and Flomaton respectively.
The Eagles schedule for 2010 shows 22 varsity games with 10 home games and 12 away games.
Last season the Eagles went 10-9 and failed to make the playoffs.
Like last season, the Eagles will be in the area with Hillcrest-Evergreen, Jackson, B.C. Rain, and UMS-Wright.
Along with their Eagle Classic tournament, W.S. Neal will play in the Escambia County tournament that will be held at T.R. Miller on Thursday, Feb. 25 through Saturday, Feb. 27.
