Mr. Lawrence Partin, 60, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at an Evergreen medical facility. He was a native of Range, but had spent the last 38 years in Castleberry, where he was a member of Victory Christian Pentecostal Holiness Church and worked as equipment operator for Partin Sand and Gravel. He was also an U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Hobbs Partin of Castleberry; two sons, Shannon (Jessica) Partin and Dennis (Tracey) Partin, both of Castleberry; a daughter, Margaret Partin of Castleberry; three brothers, Roy Partin of Repton, Mike Partin of Paul, and Cecil Partin of Monroeville; three sisters, Janie Stanford and Mattie Sue Stanford, both of Lenox, and Marie Michael of Louisiana; four grandchildren, Kayla, Jonathan, Timothy and Winter Partin.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Andy Peevy officiating. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry, with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
