Furious start|Big innings propel TRM over WSN Thursday

In their first game of the season Thursday at the Brewton YMCA Sports Park, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger JV softball team took care of business against the Lady Eagles of W.S. Neal winning the game by a score of 22-0 in three innings.
The win for the Lady Tigers improved T.R. Miller to 1-0. The loss dropped W.S. Neal to 0-4 on the season.
T.R. Miller plated 10 runs in the first inning and added 12 more in the second inning in the win while W.S. Neal was held scoreless.
Starting Lady Tiger pitcher Laurel Billy teamed up with reliever Moriah Brundidge  to pitch a no-hit shutout.
Billy got the start and the win as she went two innings allowing no runs, no hits, walked one, and struck out four.
Brundidge went the final inning of the game and struck out three.
Lacey Millican took the loss on the mound for the Lady Eagles allowed 10 hits, seven walks, and struck out one in one inning of work.
Brittany Lucas went one inning for the Lady Eagles and allowed three hits, walked two, and struck out one.
For the Lady Tigers at the plate, Kristen Booker was 2-for-2 with one RBI, Audrey Hamric was 1-for-1 with a double and one RBI, Rebecca Evans was 2-for-2 with one RBI and Lauren Ward was 1-for-2 with a triple.
Takeysia McFugerson was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and Hannah Weaver was 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Michaela Stabler was 1-for-2 in the win for the Tigers with one RBI and Brundidge was 1-for-1 with an inside-the-park homerun and two RBIs.
Kelsey Thompson was 2-for-2 for the Lady Tigers.
Millican was the lone Lady Eagle to reach base with a walk in the first inning.
