Lady Eagles win one game in tourney

After starting their 2010 season 2-0 and 3-0 with a win in their first game of the T.R. Miller Invitational Friday, the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles ended the tournament with a 1-3 record to fall to 3-3 overall.
The Lady Eagles opened their tournament with a 17-4 win over Monroe County before falling to T.R. Miller’s JV team, Clarke County, and T.R. Miller’s varsity team.

The Lady Eagles opened the T.R. Miller Invitational Tournament big as they scored 10 runs in the first inning and seven in the second to beat Monroe County 17-4 to improve to 3-0.
Hadaway earned the win on the mound going three innings allowed four runs on five hits, walked one and struck out five.
Kena Ellison was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Jade Danley was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
Autumn Hinote was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and Anna Nelson was 1-for-2 with one RBI.

In their first game of the tournament on Saturday, the Lady Eagles lost to Clarke County 12-2 to fall to 3-2 overall.
The Lady Tigers fell to 3-1 Friday night with a 16-2 loss to T.R. Miller’s JV team.
The Lady Eagles ended the tournament and fell to 3-3 with a 12-1 loss to T.R. Miller.
Against Clarke County, the Lady Eagles scored one run in the second and third innings.
Clarke County scored one in the first, three in the second and eight in the third inning.
Hadaway took the loss as she allowed 10 hits and struck out one.
At the plate for the Lady Eagles, Hinote was 1-for-2 along with Haley Lum. Amanda Crawford had one RBI.
