Ms. Sherry Darlene Cardwell, 39, died Friday, March 5, 2010, at her residence. She was a native of Monroeville, but had lived in the Brewton community for the past 26 years, coming from Castleberry. She was a homemaker, of the Holiness faith and a member of East Brewton Church of God.
She is survived by her father and mother, David Scroggins and Marilyn Scroggins, both of Brewton; three sons, Anthony Blocker of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Tyler Cardwell and Cory Waller, both of Brewton; two sisters, Lisa Case of McComb, Miss. and Tammy Merchant of East Brewton; and two nephews, Joseph Merchant  and Codie Carpenter.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 8, at 10 a.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Sturdivant officiating. Burial followed at Excel Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Shorty Blair, Steven Cooper, Jonathan Joseph, Brian Pugh and Chuck Crawford.
