WSN JV baseball defeats Northview

W.S. Neal’s JV baseball team defeated Northview 7-4 Tuesday on the road to improve to 9-4 overall this season.
W.S. Neal scored two runs in the first inning and two in the second inning along with three in the third inning to take an early 6-0 lead.
Northview cut the lead to 6-4 with one run in the third and the fifth along with two in the fourth inning.
W.S. Neal added an insurance run in the top of the sixth inning to get the win by three runs.
Cam Blackman earned the win on the mound for the Eagles as he went 5 1/3 innings and allowed four runs, one earned, on three hits, walked four and struck out seven.
Brian Settle picked up the save as he went 1 2/3 innings and allowed no runs, one hit and struck out three.
At the plate for the Eagles, Jeremy Myers was 2-for-2 with a double and a triple and two RBIs.
Tyler Joyner was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Justin Moye was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Taylor Ballard was 2-for-2 with one RBI in the win for the Eagles over Northview.
