But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had prepared.
As we approach this holy Easter Sunday and we remember the glorious nature of Christs Resurrection, we should also remember the humble way in which he saved the world — not only coming to earth as a baby in a manger but leaving His earthly life as a convict on a cross. That humility should teach all of us how we should treat each other, with kindness and grace. We should seek God in everyone, especially in those less fortunate.
No matter our faith, Christ’s example teaches us humility and humanity; He teaches us about the grace of God and the goodness of man.
We would do well to heed those — not just on Easter, but every day of our lives.
