Local men held in separate sex abuse cases

Two Brewton men were arrested last week in separate cases involving alleged illegal behavior with minors.
Craig M. Burgh Jr., 31, of U.S. 31 North in Brewton, was arrested and booked into the Santa Rosa County jail on March 25 on a felony charge of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a child of at least 12 years of age but less than 16.
According to police reports, Burgh had been communicating with a Jay, Fla., teenage girl via Myspace.com chats, and the two had exchanged sexually explicit messages.
Burgh was released on $20,000 bond.
In a separate case, a 20-year-old Brewton resident was charged with sexual battery of a teenage girl he was babysitting.
Joshua Caleb Black, 20, of 360 Pineview Road, was booked into the Escambia County (Fla.) jail on March 24 on a charge of sexual battery involving a female between the ages of 12 and 18.
According to police reports, Black was babysitting the alleged victim and her siblings when the victim engaged in intercourse with the suspect.
Black was released on $25,000 bond.
