Mrs. Essie Mae Faircloth Dawson, 91, died Saturday, April 3, 2010. She was a native of Conecuh County and a longtime resident of Brewton before moving to Brighton in 2007. She was a retired seamstress and attended the Church of God for a number of years. She also attended the Pace Assembly of God.
She is survived by her children, Helen Harris of Memphis, Tenn., Barbara (Dennis) Giles of Brighton, Eddie Dawson of Pace, Fla., and Jerry (Betty) Dawson of Seminole; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 9, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Craver's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
