Lady Tigers roll|Team remains perfect in area, awaits CCHS

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team remained undefeated Thursday at home with an 18-3 win over Cottage Hill.
The win improved T.R. Miller to 14-3 overall and to 4-0 in area play.
White said his two pitchers Thursday, Laurel Billy and Natalie Neal, did a great job pitching against Cottage Hill.
T.R. Miller led 1-0 after the first inning before exploding for 15 runs in the second inning and batting around twice to claim a 16-0 lead after two innings of play.
The Lady Tigers had 18 hits in the win. Audrey Hamric had three hits and three runs, Natalie Neal knocked in three runs with a triple and a homer, Sarah Lee had two hits and three RBIs and Leigh Margaret Bostic had a two-run triple. Teralyn Moore was 1-for-4 with an inside-the-park homerun. Emily Waters was 2-for-3 also in the win.
Laurel Billy earned the win and improved to 2-0 as she struck out five in the first three innings of the game.
Neal went the final two innings and struck out three.
T.R. Miller 12, Florala 2
Leading 4-2 after five innings against Florala Tuesday on the road, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball scored eight runs over the next two innings to get a 12-2 win and improve to 13-3 overall this season.
The Lady Tigers trailed 1-0 after the first inning before scoring two runs each in the third and fourth innings to take a 4-1 lead.
Florala cut the lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning before T.R. Miller scored two runs in the sixth inning and six in the seventh inning to get the win.
Taylor Guthrie earned the win on the mound as she went the complete game and allowed three hits, walked three and struck out five.
Leah Brundidge was 2-for-4 at the plate and Natalie Neal was 1-for-4. Guthrie was 1-for-4 with a triple and Sarah Lee was 3-for-4 with a double.
Audrey Hamric went 1-for-3 and Takeysia McFugerson went 2-for-4 in the win.
T.R. Miller JV 20, W.S. Neal 10
T.R. Miller’s JV team improved to 6-3 Monday in East Brewton as they defeated W.S. Neal Middle School’s softball team 20-10.
Lady Tigers Laurel Billy and Moriah Brundidge teamed up for a no-hitter against W.S. Neal as they struck out four and walked 13 in the win.
T.R. Miller led 16-0 after the top of the second inning before W.S. Neal scored 10 runs in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead to 16-10.
T.R. Miller responded with four runs in the top of the third inning to get the win.
At the plate for T.R. Miller, Brundidge was 1-for-3 along with Hamric and Billy was 1-for-2. Hamric had a double in the win.
Michaela Stabler was 1-for-3 and McFugerson was 2-for-3 with a double.
Jessica Allan was 1-for-3 along with Kelsey Thompson who had a double.
