Once again, the T.R. Miller Tiger track teams placed first with big wins over the next closest competition Thursday in a home track meet.
The boys team placed first with 143 points with second place Monroe County placing second with 53 points.
Opp placed third with 27 points followed by Escambia County with 16 points and J.U. Blacksher with 10 points.
In girls track action, the Lady Tigers placed first with 180 points, 147 more points than second place Monroe County.
Blacksher followed with 27 points and Opp had 16 points.
Escambia County rounded out the competition with 10 points.
For the T.R. Miller boys, the Tigers placed first in the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 10 minutes and placed first in the 4×100 with a time of 44.10.
Terez Lane placed first for the Tigers in the 100/110-hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, high jump and triple jump.
Kori Jackson placed first in the 100-meter dash and Matt Ray edged Brandon Nelson in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:36.
Wil Riggs placed first in the 400-meter dash and David Ikner placed first in the 200-meter dash.
Johntae Brown led the Tigers in the discus and Ryland Dixon led in the javelin.
Madden McCall led a host of Tigers who swept the pole vault with a height of 12-6.
In girls action, the Lady Tigers took first in the 4×800 relay and in the 4×100 relay.
Amber Nelson took first in the 100/110 hurdles and Lateysia Montgomery took the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.01.
Shelby Youngblood took first in the 400-meter dash and Karisa Nelson won the 800-meter dash.
Keydra Shedrone won the shot put and Montgomery won the high jump.
Leah Brundidge placed first in the javelin.
Catherine Reeves and Madison Floyd won the pole vault with a vault of 6-6. Amber Nelson placed first in the triple jump.
Of the 52 place finishers in the girls field, T.R. Miller had 34.
