Lady Eagle softball falls to Hillcrest Jags, now 5-11

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball team battled in a game against Hillcrest Tuesday in Evergreen. The battle would find them defeated in the end by a score of 13-12 after eight innings.
Lauren Boatwright had another inside the park homerun for the Lady Eagles with a three RBI hit down the left field line.
The loss for the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles dropped their overall record to 5-11 on the season.
W.S. Neal was up 10-3 at one point in the game but would not be able to hold on to that lead.
In a junior varsity  game in the nightcap, W.S. Neal lost 11-10 to Hillcrest in four innings.
W.S. Neal was set to take on Jackson in an area game Friday in East Brewton. The team will be back to action Monday, April 19, at home in another area game. They will take on the B.C. Rain Lady Red Raiders after spring break.
The first pitch in the game will be thrown at  4:30 p.m. in East Brewton.
