Charles Eugene “Gene” Neese|Brewton

Charles Eugene “Gene” Neese, 71, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was a member of the Brewton Church of Christ, a 1956 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and a retired recovery boiler operator from Container Corporation with 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice Abrams.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shelba Gandy Neese of Brewton; a son, Chuck (Trudy) Neese of Camden; two daughters, Angie (Wayne) Davis of Mobile and Pam (Dennis) Cooper of Brewton; a brother, Mitchell Neese of Brewton; two sisters, Marie Heaton of Brewton and Kathy Cameron of Auburn; and five grandchildren, Jessica Royce, Miranda Neese, Chase Davis, Hayden Cooper and Nicole Neese.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 11, at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with MInister Jeff Abrams and Brother Murray Stinson officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
