Escambia County commissioners have approved a request allowing a Pollard couple to establish a private cemetery in the community.
A Monday meeting of the group approved the request subject to completion of a survey on the property of Wayne and Peggy McCormick.
Commission Chairman David Stokes said the couple had handled the request properly.
The commission heard from County Engineer Bill Bridges concerning work being done on county roads and bridges.
Bridges also updated commissioners on the Panther Creek bridge in the west end of the county.
