Mr. Edd Leigh Kelly, 84, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital. He was a native of Pollard and had lived most of his life in the Pollard/Flomaton area. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army and was a clerk for L&N Railroad prior to his retirement. He was a member of Pollard United Methodist Church where he served as treasurer.
He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Kelly of Flomaton; his step-children, Carl (Debbie) Kelly of Dadeville; Henry (Stephanie) Kelly of Bay Minette, and Lou Wanda Smith of Blythe, Calif.; six step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Kelly officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
