Eight held in drug bust

A team of law enforcement officers executing a search warrant Friday arrested eight area residents on a variety of drug charges.
Bryan Davis, supervisor of the Brewton Police Department’s Narcotics Division, said the arrests were made at 1684 Blair Road by members of his department, the Brewton Special Response Team and members of the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force.
Arrested were Charolotte Bottleo, Shannon Box, James Keith Brunson, Mary Ann McGhee, Jeffery Keith Smith and Jamie Thompson, all with Brewton addresses; Wallie Roger Harrelson, a resident of the Blair Road address, and Tiffany Joyner of East Brewton. Charges are pending on a ninth suspect, Shane Elizabeth Lewis of Pensacola, Fla.
Davis said evidence at the Blair Street address indicated that a large prescription medication operation had been operated at the residence.
Wallie Roger Harrelson has been charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance (Lortab), two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Lortab), second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Jamie Thompson was charged with obstructing justice using a false identity and is being held at the Escambia County Detention Center on the misdemeanor charges.
Mary Ann McGhee was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Lortab), second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held on a $5,000 bond.
Tiffany Joyner was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Lortab), second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held on a $5,000 bond.
Jeffery Keith Smith was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Lortab), criminal conspiracy to commit controlled substance crime, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Shannon Box was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Lortab), second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to commit a controlled substance crime and attempting to elude law enforcement. Box is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Charlotte Bottelo was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana and attempting to elude law enforcement. She has been released on a $3,000 bond.
James Keith Brunson was charged with attempting to elude law enforcement. Brunson remains in custody on the misdemeanor charges.
Shane Elizabeth Lewis is being held pending charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Lortab), possession of drug paraphernalia, chemical endangerment of a child and second-degree possession of marijuana.
Davis said all suspects were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center where they were booked on charges.
