Teen charged in assault

A Brewton juvenile was arrested after he allegedly attacked a second juvenile outside an East Brewton convenience store.
The suspect, who is 17, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault following the incident Sunday evening.
East Brewton Police Chief Kenny Brazile said the incident took place around 7 p.m. at the Kangroo convenience store on Forrest Avenue.
Brazil said the suspect was transported to the Escambia County Dentention Center, where he was booked on the charges against him.
Brazil said an investigation into the incident was continuing and other charges are pending and a juvenile petition will be filed in the case against the alleged attacker.
