Patricia Renee Nelson of Brewton announces the engagement of her daughter, Andrea L. King, to Whitney M. Qualls of Brewton, son of Donnie and Donna Moye of Brewton and Kurvin and Nicki Qualls of Jay, Fla.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of McCoy and Eunia Jackson of Brewton.

She is a 2006 graduate and valedictorian of W.S. Neal High School, a 2008 graduate of Jefferson Davis Community College with an associate’s degree in science. She is currently enrolled in JDCC to earn her degree in registered nursing. She is employed at Fred’s Pharmacy in East Brewton.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mary Alice Bradley of Brewton and Buddy Bradley of Dixie, the late Doris Segrest, the late Alvin Moye, the late Melvin Qualls, Juanita and Richard Thomas of Valparaiso, Fla., and Lany and Louise Nowling of Milton, Fla.

He is a 2006 graduate of W.S. Neal High School as 10th in the class, a 2008 graduate of JDCC with an associate’s degree in science, a 2009 Reid State Community College with an associate’s degree in industrial electronics. He is currently employed by ThyssenKrupp USA Steel of Mobile.
