The Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its fifth Annual Chamber Golf Classic on Thursday, May 6, at the Country Club of Brewton.

A total of 15 teams played in the tournament with the First Exchange Bank team taking first place, followed by the Josh White team in second, and McMillan, Ltd. in third place.

David Jennings, Robbie Cotton, Tripp Owens and Phillip Jennings were on the winning team for First Exchange Bank.

Other winners included: Country Club gift certificate winners: Charlie McDaniel, Caleb Dortch, James McQuig, Jerome Bracken and Closest to the Pin gift certificate winner: David Stokes.

Michelle Hart, Administrative assistant with the Brewton Chamber of Commerce said they were really pleased with the turn out and participation this year in the tournament. “The tournament is a fundraiser for the Chamber,” Hart said. “The money that is raised is used to support Chamber functions and programs, so we really appreciate the way our local businesses support the tournament by entering teams and purchasing sponsorships. Everything went really smooth, as usual, thanks to Joey Turner and his staff at the Country Club. The weather was beautiful and we had a fun day. We hope our golfers did too.”
