Mrs. Darlene Gibson Singleton, 49, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native and resident of Evergreen before moving to Escambia County in 1983. She was a medical assistant and of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by her father, Robert (Cecilia) Gibson of Graceville, Fla.; her mother, Barbara Copeland of Evergreen; her husband, Harold Singleton of East Brewton; a daughter, Rebecca Singleton of Birmingham; a brother, Robert (Lisa) Gibson of Evergreen; and a sister-in-law, Candy (Morris) Singleton of Clanton.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Hellums officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Castleberry, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
