Mr. Larry Edward Williamson Sr., 70, of East Brewton, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of East Brewton. He attended Brewton First Baptist Church and was retired from Smurfit Stone after 39 years of service as a chemical operator. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a son, Ed (Leslie) Williamson of Brewton; a daughter, Vickie (Eric) Jackson of Fort Deposit; and four grandchildren, Rachel Jackson, Drew Williamson, Spencer Jackson and Caroline Williamson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Blackmon Williamson.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 11, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Fitts and the Rev. Eric Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Cora Cemetery in Jay, Fla., for family only, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
