After getting a surprise one day before the state tournament was set to begin in Sylacauga and finding out they would now represent District 3 at the 11- and 12-year-old state tournament after Opp played an illegal player, the Brewton All Stars went 1-2 in the tournament.

Brewton opened the tournament with a 14-1 loss at the hands of Huntsville. In game two, Brewton got their only win of the tournament as they defeated Phenix City 15-5. In game three, Brewton lost to Mobile 13-7.

Game one: Huntsville 14, Brewton 1

After not playing or practicing for two weeks since losing to Opp in the district tournament, Brewton was a little rusty in game one as they lost 14-1.

Brewton had two base hits by Trippe Floyd and Jared Cooper.  Jonathon Lucas scored the only run for Brewton.

Game two: Brewton 15, Phenix City 5

Brewton came out playing baseball like they were capable of playing in game two as they defeated Phenix City 15-5.

Brewton manager Robbie Floyd and coach Lew Najor said they would like to thank the Brewton Recreation Board and Brewton Little League for all their help.

“Going to the state tournament was a surprise and walking away with a big win over a tem like Phenix City and battling Mobile until the last inning says a lot about these young men,” Floyd and Najor said.
