Ivory Lee Spears King

Ivory Lee Spears King, 90, died Tuesday, July 20 2010 at a Florida healthcare facility after a brief illness. She was a house supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John King Sr.,; two sons, Willie King and John King Jr.; three brothers, Frank Crawford and H.L. Spears; three sisters, Katherine Jackson, Nancy Nelson and Madoltha Woods; and one grandson, Derek King.

She is survived by one son, Carlton (Phyllis) King; four daughters, Elizabeth (Herbert) Littles, Juanita (Allen) Rogers, JoAnn (Arthur) Brazile, all of Brewton, and Bertha (Jimmie) Oliver of Evergreen; three sisters, Annette (Matthew) Jenkins of Detroit, Mich., Ella (Eddie) Elliott, and Lucille Hawthorne, both of Brewton; two sisters-in-law, Mary Spears and Willie J. Spears; two daughters-in-law, Dora King and Clara King; 16 grandchildren, Kela Brazile, Tiffany Oliver, Samara (Willie) Campbell, Victor (Faye) Oliver, Coco (Harvey) Benson, Shawntae (Michelle) King, Kenneth (Aretha) Littles, Margaret 9Lewis) Floyd, Yada (Lamont) Horace, Debra (Lewis) Brown, Donnie (Chris) King, Lynn (Marvin) Stallworth, Tanya (James) Craft, Terry (Chantae) King, Patricia (Earl) Lane and Sammie (Faye) Ball; and 17 great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Alexander (Gwendolyn) Hawthorne, many cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Brewton with pastor J.F. Atkins officiating. Burial followed at Second Bethlehem Cemetery in Brewton with Presley Fluker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
