Mrs. Ruby Golden Strickland, 90, of Golden Church Road in the Dixonville Community, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 at a Jay, Florida medical facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Brewton and a long-time resident of Jay, Fla.

She was a member of the Golden Memorial Holiness Church, was owner of R.G.S. Roofing and a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Delores Strickland of Jay, Fla.; one brother, Paul Golden of Jay; two grandchildren Desha (Jason) Lashley and Davina (Brandon) Carroll; five great-grandchildren, Travis Allen, Carly Sanders, Christa Sanders, Hope Lashley, Cadee Carroll.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 6 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Golden Memorial Holiness Church in Dixonville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 6 at 3 p.m. at Golden Memorial Holiness Church with the Rev. G.W. Birdsong officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Memorial Holiness Church Cemetery in Dixonville with the Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
