Mr. Richard Neson Jr., 67, of Brewton died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at a local hospital. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. Mr. Nelson was a Baptist and was an auto mechanic.

Survivors include his mother, Mae Grice Nelson of Brewton; a son, Ricky Allen Nelson of Louisiana; three sisters, Jean Nelson of Brewton, Dianne McCrary of Daphne and Mary Yoder of Brewton; two grandchildren, Michael (Bobbie Joe) Nelson of Brewton and Derrick Nelson of Brewton; and a special friend, Jeanette Stewart and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Nelson Sr.; a son, Richard Wesley Nelson; and a brother, Steve Nelson.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Spear Cemetery in Brewton.
