Mrs. Grace Bula Rowland Rhew, 84, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. She moved from Alabama in 1947 and worked in the veteran’s hospital. She retired from Kearfott Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Susie Rowland; her husband, Charlie “Buck” Rhew, who had been a member of the Asheville Police Department; her brothers, Marvin and Arthur Rowland; and sisters, Ruby Waller, Sally Lee and Murrell Dyes.

She is survived by over 40 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Brigman’s Funeral Service in Black Mountain, N.C. Burial followed at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Brigman’s Funeral Service directing.
