Late T.R. Miller principal Donnie Rotch was remembered in several ways at the opening football game Friday night against Escambia County High School.

T.R. Miller players wore a “DR” decal on their helmet and  a moment of silence was held before the game.

The ECHS band played and sang the hymn “Holy Holy Holy.” Tiger fans showed their thanks with a standing ovation. As the band walked off the field, they shouted “We love you Miller.”

The T.R. Miller band had a special backdrop for their show with a black ribbon with the word “Hoss” written over it.

Thursday, the T.R. Miller volleyball team wore black sweat bands on their left arms in remembrance.

Before the start of the W.S. Neal vs Flomaton football game Thursday in Flomaton, silence was held before the game for late Eagle principal Phillip Ellis, who died in June after a long battle with cancer.
