In a Thursday varsity, middle, and JV volleyball game for the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers at Flomaton, the varsity team was the only team to lose.

The varsity Lady Tigers lost 2-1 to drop their overall record to 1-2 this season.

The middle school won 2-0 and the JV won 2-0 to make their records 1-0 to start the season.

The varsity won set one 25-21 before losing set two 26-24 and set three 15-11.

The middle school won 25-16 and 25-21 to win their match in two sets and the JV won 25-18 and 25-17.

T.R. Miller Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said he wanted to congratulate the Flomaton Hurricane varsity team in their win Thursday.

“They did what they had to do to get the win,” White said. “We did not. Game one was played close the whole way with several lead changes. We made a little run there at the end and were able to pull out the win. In the second game we came out playing very well and built an 11-point lead. From there we got a little complacent and let Flomaton back in the game. We still had a chance to finish them off with a game point situation but we didn’t execute and they got the 26-24 win.

“Game three was very similar to game two. We had an early lead and let it slip away and lost 15-11. I was disappointed in the way we finished the night. We didn’t play like T.R. Miller is supposed to play. And that’s my fault. I will get that corrected and we will move forward.”
