Mrs. Lillian Findley Steele, 89, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, in a Pensacola medical facility after a brief illness. She was a native of Roberts, and a long time resident of Brewton before moving to Pensacola. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and a retired draw twist operator from Monsanto with more than 20 years of service.

She is survived by a son, Dewitt (Jeanie) Clifton Steele Jr. of Pensacola; two daughters, Suzanne King Smith of Cornelia, Ga., and Janice (Allen) Steele Hague of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Cemetery with Brother John Finklea officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
