Mrs. Lillian Findley Steele, 89, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010. She was a native of the Roberts community and retired from Monsanto. She was a Christian by faith and a Baptist by choice. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, DeWitt Clifton Steele Sr.

She is survived by a son, DeWitt C. (Jeanie) Steele Jr. of Pensacola; two daughters, Suzanne King Smith of Cornelia, Ga., and Janice R. (Al) Hague of Houston; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Cemetery in Brewton Brother John Finklea officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, at Faith Baptist Church in Pensacola. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Creekside Senior Village, 9015 University Parkway, Pensacola 32514
