Lucille Cox Jackson

Mrs. Lucille Cox Jackson, 103, died Saturday, September 18, 2010, in a local nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was a member of Catawba Springs Baptist Church, a former school teacher and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence “L.P.” Jackson; and two daughters, Barbara Jean Jackson and Margaret Jackson.
She is survived by two sons, Harry (Jane) Jackson of Ashville, N.C., and Terry Jackson of Brewton; five daughters, Elinor Wilder and Patricia (Doug) Bagwell, of Brewton, Carolyn Kemp of Mobile, and Kathy (Ronnie) Murphy and Deborah (Joseph) Liss, both of Columbus, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services were held Monday, September 20, at
11a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing
