Robert E. Wilson

The Rev. Robert E. Wilson, 68, of Twin Bridges Road in Flomaton, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at a local hospital after an extended illness.
He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, and had been living in the Flomaton area since August, 2006. He was a self-employed logger and served as pastor at New Haven Holiness Church for a number of years. Rev. Wilson was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wilson of Flomaton; one son, Robert, Jr. (Kathy) Wilson of Atmore; three daughters, Dorothy ( Don) Hammonds of Flomaton, Sherry (Chris) Dunsford of Century, Fla. and Elaine ( Barry) Van Hoosen of Brewton; one brother, Carl Wilson of Flomaton; two sisters, Annis Neese of Molino, Fla., and Allie Cross of Pace, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Sunday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilbur Graves and the Rev. Mike Skipper officiating. Burial followed in Weaver Cemetery on the Appleton Road with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Mark Dunsford, Mitch Dunsford, Colton Hammonds, Brandon Hammonds, Randy Cooper and Johnny Mac Bartlett.
