TRM cross country teams run in Pensacola

In the second race of the 2010 cross country season for the T.R. Miller Tigers Saturday at Osceola Golf Course in Pensacola, the boys team placed 12th out of 22 teams while the girls placed sixth of 22 teams in the 38th annual Wildcat Invitational.
The Lady Tigers were led by Karisa Nelson who placed second overall in the race with a time of 19:39.21. Katie Nelson placed eighth with a time of 20:33.47 and Shelby Youngblood placed 13th with a time of 20:52.35.
Finishing in 84th place out of 155 runners was Amber Terry with a time of 24:22.76 and Katie Baggett in 111th with a time of 25:48.72.
Emmy Granade and Abbie Carlson rounded out the Lady Tigers with Granade placing 118th with a time of 26:25.35 and Carlson in 127th with a time of 27:27.29.
The Lady Tigers overall time of 1:51:16.51 and an average time of 22:15.31.
On the boys side, Christian Carlson paced the Tigers as he placed 41st overall with a time of 18:31.53.
Rob Stokes placed 73rd with a time of 19:53.30 and Grant Youngblood placed 80th with a time of 20:21.03.
Andrew Pollitte ran a time of 20:30.04 for 83rd place and was followed by Logan Lowery in 108th with a time of 21:58.99.
Ryan Snowden and Carter Frezell placed 124th and 126th respectively with times of 22:53.83 and 22:59.56.
T.R. Miller’s overall time was 1:41:15.40 for an average of 20:15.08.
For the Lady Tigers who placed in the race, of the seven runners, four are freshmen followed by on sophomore and two juniors.
For the boys, of the seven placers, two are seventh graders, one eighth, one ninth, two sophomores, and one junior.
T.R. Miller will be back in action this Saturday as they will run at the Gulf Coast Stampede in Pensacola.
The race is set to begin at 8 a.m.
