Mrs. Maudie L. Taylor, 85, of Brewton, died Friday, Mrs. Maudie Sept. 25, 2010, in the local hospital.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Labelle, Fla., and had been a long-time resident of the Brewton area. She was a homemaker and was a member of Brewton First Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Donald Taylor.

She is survived by a son, Buster (Barbara) Huff of Grove Hill, Ala.; a daughter, Sandy English of Brewton; three grandchildren, Wendy McClure of Linden, Ala., Michael English of Brewton and Robert English of Tuscaloosa.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Catawba Cemetery on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron Headley and Mr. Jerry Hawsey officiating.
