TRM B-team takes down WSN Monday

The T.R. Miller Tiger B-team football team cruised their way to a 32-6 win over W.S. Neal Monday night in Brewton.
The Tigers racked up 369 yards of total offense while W.S. Neal had 250 total yards.
Couple that with 144 yards rushing on 11 carries and two touchdowns for Eric Maye for T.R. Miller and four Eagle turnovers (three fumbles and one interception) helped the Tigers improve to 2-1-1 while W.S. Neal remained winless at 0-3.
Along with Maye’s 144 yards and two touchdowns, Keion Smith rushed seven times for 107 yards and one touchdown in the win.
Smith was 2-for-2 passing with one touchdown to Ryan Hunt in the win. Hunt had both catches for 102 total yards including a 70-yard touchdown the first play of the second half.
For W.S. Neal, Trever Burns led on the ground rushing with 132 yards on 20 carries and one touchdown.
T.R. Miller struck first in the game scoring on a 22-yard run by Maye to lead 6-0 with 1:03 left in the first quarter.
Maye put the Tigers on top 12-0 with 5:52 left in the second quarter after he scored on another 22-yard run.
Leading 12-0 at the half, T.R. Miller used one play into the third quarter to score on a 70-yard touchdown pass reception from Smith to Hunt to put the Tigers on top 20-0 with 7:47 left in the third quarter.
W.S. Neal would get their lone score of the game with 4:15 left in the third when Burns scored on a 3-yard run after Cam Blackman found Josiah Nettles for a 32-yard pass reception to the 3-yard line.
T.R. Miller responded after the Eagle touchdown as Smith scored on a 69-yard to go on top 26-6 with 2:38 left in the third quarter.
In the fourth, Dominique Jackson put the final nail in the Eagles coffin with a 4-yard touchdown run to go on top 32-6 with 1:31 left in the game.
W.S. Neal would get to the T.R. Miller 7-yard line before being sacked and the final seconds running off the clock giving T.R. Miller the 26-point win.
T.R. Miller finished with 267 yards of offense on the ground and 102 yards in the air. W.S. Neal had 194 yards rushing and 56 through the air for 250 total yards.
The Eagles had 14 first downs to T.R. Miller’s 11 in the loss.
