WSNMS volleyball sweeps McCall

In a double match against McCall, the W.S. Neal Middle School volleyball team picked up two wins to improve to 4-2.

The Lady Eagles won both matches 2-0.

In match one, W.S. Neal defeated McCall 25-16 and 25-19 and in the second match, won 25-10 and 25-14.

In the first match, Ashlyn Lambeth had eight service points and Kendal Clayton and Cheyenne Jackson both had five points each.

In game two, Clayton led with nine points and was followed by Tykeria Nolan with six and Heather Martin with three points.

In the second match, game one, Ashley Fleming led with 10 points followed by Clayton with eight, Jodi Busby with five and Jackson and Lambeth with one each.

In game two, Jackson and Katelyn Millican both led with six points each followed by Lambeth with five and Fleming with four points.

“We needed something good to happen,” W.S. Neal Lady Eagle head coach Joe Ellington said. “Our kids did a good job of playing team ball and staying focused. I’m proud of how our girls bounced back from two tough losses.”

W.S. Neal Middle School will be back in action Thursday at home against McCall again. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
