BYP party to help Christmas Project

The Brewton Young Professionals will celebrate Christmas together on Dec. 2 — and they hope to help the community at the same time.

The BYPs will have a Christmas party at 6:30 that night at the Brewton Community Center behind City Hall. The cost of attending the party is an unwrapped Christmas toy. Men should bring a boy’s gift and women should bring a girl’s gift. The toys will be donated to the Christmas Project to be distributed to children.

BYP member Jason Daniel said those who want to attend the party must sign up by Friday, Nov. 26, by calling him at 867-831 or contacting him by e-mail at brewtonyoungprofessionals@gmail.com

The Young Professionals are looking for sponsors for the program and anyone who will contribute door prizes and additional toys to give to the children.

“It will be a chance for networking among the young professionals in the area,” Daniel said. “We have a deadline of registering because we need to know how many are coming to the party because we need to know how much food to prepare. Bringing a toy for the Christmas Project is the price of admission so that we can help children who may not have a Christmas without the help of those in the community.”
